Laurene Hummer

Laurene Hummer has a wealth of experience in the security, process design, and product management industries. Laurene began their career in 2009 as an Advanced Process Design Engineer at ExxonMobil, where they designed process units for petroleum refining. In 2011, they moved to KSE, Inc. as a Senior Design Engineer, where they applied their process design experience to the dehydration of ethanol using reactive distillation. In 2012, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, and as a Technical Consultant - Business Analysis at Midori Renewables, Inc.

In 2013, they joined RSA, The Security Division of EMC as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, where they managed an Identity and Access Management (IAM) product's lifecycle. Laurene then moved to IBM in 2016, where they held three roles: Program Director of Product Management - Digital Trust Security Services, Senior Product Manager, IAM Services & Zero Trust, and Senior Product Marketing Manager - IAM Services & Data Security Services. Laurene is currently Vice President of Carbon Solutions at Verdox, a position they have held since 2022.

Laurene Hummer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2009. Laurene then received an E. I.T. certification from The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in April of 2009. In 2012, Hummer returned to the University of Massachusetts Amherst and obtained a Master of Business Administration in 2014.
