J.d. Hogan

Associate Principal Computational Biologist at Verge Genomics

J.D. Hogan has extensive work experience in the field of computational biology, bioinformatics, and genetics. They started their career at the University of Georgia as a Graduate Research Assistant and later worked as a Laboratory Assistant. Following this, they joined Biogen as an Intern, where they focused on gene expression Bayesian network analysis and script development. They then joined Boston University as a Ph.D. candidate before moving on to Merck, where they worked as a Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics and later as an Associate Principal Scientist in the same field. Currently, J.D. Hogan is working at Verge Genomics as an Associate Principal Computational Biologist.

J.D. Hogan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Auburn University in 2007. Later, from 2008 to 2010, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Bioinformatics at The University of Georgia. Finally, from 2012 to 2019, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioinformatics at Boston University.
