Samson Afewerki

Samson Afewerki is a Harvard and MIT trained Scientist, Entrepreneur and Innovator. Samson began their professional career in 2015 as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stockholms universitet. In 2016, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital. In 2018, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In the same year, they were also Co-founder and Boardmember at Veri Nano Inc., which operates http://verinano.com/ and https://verinanobeauty.com/. In 2015, they Co-founded Organofuel Sweden AB, a company with the purpose of conducting research and development to produce and commercialize advanced fuels, fine chemicals and biologically active products. Samson has also been managing patents in these areas. In 2019, they started their own website, https://www.samsonafewerki.com/. In 2021, they became Co-founder and Board member of XP Chemistries AB.

Samson Afewerki obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from Mid Sweden University between 2010 and 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Chemical Engineering programme in Medicinal chemistry at Uppsala University between 2005 and 2010. Samson also had some involvement with Harvard and MIT, though the exact details are unknown.
