Richard Kairis

Richard Kairis has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Richard currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at Vericast since 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at LexisNexis from 2015 to 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for developing tools and procedures for tracking and managing corporate assets and accounts within Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

Before joining LexisNexis, Richard worked at Blackberry from 2011 to 2015 as an Applications Software Developer II. In this role, they provided new feature development and support for various applications, including Social Networking and BlackBerry Messenger.

From 1997 to 2011, Richard worked at IBM as an Advisory Programmer in the Retail Store Solutions division. Richard managed a team and led the design and development of open systems drivers for retail Point of Services peripherals.

Richard also served as a Representative to the UnifiedPOS Committee of the Association for Retail Technology Standards (ARTS) from 2002 to 2009. In this role, they represented IBM and contributed to the development and enhancement of the UnifiedPOS specification.
