Nick Lothian

Nick Lothian has over 9 years of work experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science. Nick began their career in 2012 as a Solution Architect at Education Services Australia, where they designed and implemented a national access federation for the school education sector. In 2014, they joined the Data to Decisions CRC as a Project Lead for Predicting Cyber Exploits and Delivery Director for Data Science. In 2017, they became the Delivery Director for Fivecast, a product suite developed from the Beat-the-News project. In 2018, they co-founded the Artificial Intelligence Collaborative Network (AICN) and joined Lumaway as a Technical Advisor and Tyto.AI as Founder and CEO. In 2019, they became the Managing Director (Volunteer) of Startup Adelaide and Mentor of Founders Institute. In 2020, they joined Amplified Intelligence as the Head of Machine Learning and in 2021, they joined Verida as the Head of Product and Developer Products Manager.

Nick Lothian received their Computer and Information Science degree from the University of South Australia in 1997. Nick has also obtained a number of certifications, including an edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark in 2015, a Coursera Verified Certificate for R Programming in 2015, and a Coursera Certificate for Big Data in Education in 2013.
