Craig Martek

Craig Martek is a Senior Software Engineer at Verily since July 2017, contributing to the Verily Retinal Camera Service and launching the Healthy at Work initiative with a focus on DNS configuration and deployment tooling. Prior to this, Craig worked at Google from June 2011 to July 2017, where involvement included enhancing the Google Flights backend with a split ticketing feature and improving query performance. Academic experiences include serving as a Graduate Assistant and Research Assistant at the Rochester Institute of Technology from September 2009 to February 2011, along with a technical internship at MITRE. Earlier roles include teaching as a Student Lab Instructor at the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Software Engineer Co-op at Blackbaud, where Craig developed a new build system. Craig holds a BS/MS in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology, earned between 2006 and 2011.
