John Wood has worked in various roles in the technology sector since 2005. John began their career as a Software Developer at Bluewire Technologies Ltd in 2005 and then moved on to become a Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard in 2006. In 2008, they founded buddybackup.com and in 2010 they returned to Hewlett-Packard as a Software Engineer, where they were an expert level engineer and created a comprehensive test suite using Selenium. In 2012, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Sentience Technology and in 2014 they joined AISTEMOS Limited as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead. In 2017, they were appointed CTO of both Hiver and toBoot. John then went on to become Head Of Engineering at Abundance in 2018 and Chief Technology Officer at Verisart in 2020.

John Wood attended the University of Bristol from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a MEng in Computer Science.
