Mehyar Afkari

Mehyar Afkari has a diverse work experience in various roles within the finance industry. Mehyar started their career as an Intern at PwC in 2012, followed by roles as an Acquisitions Analyst at Stolar Capital and a Sales & Trading Summer Analyst at Morgan Stanley in 2013. In the same year, they also worked as a Merchant Banking Fall Analyst at Global Gaming & Hospitality.

In 2014, Mehyar worked as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at KBW and later as an Investment Banking Analyst at Stifel Financial Corp.

From 2015 to 2016, they served as an Investment Banking Analyst at Financial Technology Partners / FT Partners. Mehyar then joined a Single Family Office as an Analyst - Direct Investments from 2016 to 2019.

Most recently, Mehyar worked at Carl Marks & Co. as an Analyst specializing in M&A, Restructuring & Special Situations from 2019 to 2022.

Mehyar is currently employed as an Analyst at Verition Fund Management LLC, starting in 2022.

Mehyar Afkari holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Art History from the NYU Stern School of Business. Mehyar has also obtained certifications in Series 63 from NASAA and Series 79 from FINRA.
