Katya Taycher

Katya Taycher has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Katya is currently working at Verity as the SVP of Product & Operations. Prior to that, they were the Head of Product Management at Spark Insights, where they played a crucial role in developing insurance claims processing solutions using aerial and satellite imagery and machine learning. Spark Insights was later acquired by Concirrus.

Before joining Spark Insights, Katya held various roles at Charles River Development, including Managing Director of Product Management, Director of Product Management, and Senior Product Manager. In these positions, they oversaw the Decision Support product area and led teams in portfolio analytics, risk, performance measurement, scenario analysis/stress testing, and quant.

Earlier in their career, Katya worked at Wellington Management as a Manager in Client Reporting, at Evare as a Vice President, at NerveWire as a Business Architect, at Merrill Lynch as a Vice President, and at D.E.Shaw as a Software Developer.

Katya Taycher has a strong educational background in finance and computer science. Katya pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Engineering (MEng) degrees in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1994 and 1998. Following this, they attended The Wharton School from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on finance. Additionally, in 2011, they obtained a certification as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
