Richard Dalton

Richard Dalton is an accomplished design leader with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as Head of Design at Verizon since October 2019, Richard has previously held pivotal roles including Head of Design at Capital One, where Richard led a team of 600 designers, and Vice President, Head of Design for Commercial Banking, driving innovation in banking experiences. At USAA, Richard was Assistant Vice President and Head of Design, leading 120 practitioners and establishing key committees to enhance design practices. Richard's early career includes significant contributions at Vanguard, where Richard managed teams of experience strategists and led major redesign initiatives. Co-founder of Zebra Communications and a Senior Systems Engineer at Quay Information, Richard’s educational background includes a degree in Software Engineering from Newcastle University and a program at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford.
