Shay Harel

Shay Harel has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. They started their career at Orbotech in 1995 as a Systems Integration Engineer, where they led a team and provided technical support for worldwide customers. They later became a Customer Support and Product Expert, handling applications and technical issues for US customers while also developing simulation applications.

In 1999, Shay Harel joined EMC Corporation as a Senior Software/Hardware QA Engineer and Group Leader. They were responsible for qualifying and approving diagnostic code on the Symmetrix system, as well as developing automated applications for analysis and debugging.

At IBM, Shay Harel served as a Principal Software Engineer and Team Leader, focusing on power consumption reduction and IO performance improvement for storage systems. They also held roles as a Software Development Manager and Scrum Master, overseeing the integration of new software components with legacy ones, and as a Senior Software Development Manager, leading multiple development and test teams for the Rockies program.

From 2021 to 2023, Shay Harel worked at ZoomInfo as the VP of Engineering - Applications. They led a global team of developers and QA engineers, developing SaaS applications for recruiters, sales, and marketing professionals. They utilized various technologies like Angular, React, NodeJS, and C# to create innovative capabilities such as Chat Bots, Sales Engagement Automation, and SEO Optimization.

Currently, Shay Harel holds the position of VP of Engineering at Verra Mobility. They lead the Government Solutions Software Engineering organization, overseeing the creation of software for traffic law enforcement and automation. They are also responsible for digital transformation and product unification on a new SaaS platform.

Throughout their career, Shay Harel has demonstrated strong leadership skills and has worked with global teams across multiple locations. They have experience in driving digital transformation, managing product development, and implementing Agile methodologies.

Shay Harel completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at Northeastern University from 2000 to 2004. They then pursued a Master of Science in Software Engineering at Brandeis University from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, Shay has obtained several certifications in cybersecurity-related courses from Coursera, including AWS Cloud Architecture, Cyber events detection and response using SIEM/SOAR, Foundations of Cybersecurity, Identifying Cyber Vulnerabilities and Using Threat Modeling, Managing Security Risks, and Networks and Network Security.
