Avik Bose

Avik Bose has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. avik started their career as a Tech Support Engineer at Vinciti Networks in 2005. avik then worked as a Security Consultant at Cable & Wireless from 2006 to 2007, where they focused on Checkpoint firewalls. From 2008 to 2009, Avik served as a Senior Consultant-IT Security at Macro-software systems, where they worked on various products including BIGIP LTM's and Firepass SSL VPN controllers.

In 2009, Avik joined Mphasis as a Senior Principle Infrastructure Engineer and was responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying F5 LTM's on client networks. avik then moved to Barclays Technology Center India Pvt Ltd in 2012, where they worked as a Solutions Delivery Engineer, specifically focusing on content delivery and deploying F5 LTMs on Barclays networks.

Avik joined F5 Networks in 2014 as a Systems Engineer and continued working until 2018. During their tenure, they were involved in POCs of various F5 products. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a System Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, handling presales for the North Commercial Territory, including Nepal and focusing on large accounts.

Avik returned to F5 Networks in 2020 as a Solutions Engineer - Team Lead for the North and East regions of India. avik led the F5 presales team for these regions until 2022. Currently, since 2022, they are employed at Versa Networks as a Principal System Engineer - Security APAC. In this role, they collaborate with the global sales and marketing teams to create awareness about Versa SSE offerings, evangelizes SSE offerings with CXO level audiences, and defines product roadmaps with engineering teams to align with customer requirements.

Avik Bose completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in Mechanical from Visvesvaraya Technological University, from 2000 to 2004. Prior to this, from 1997 to 1998, they attended D.A.V Public School, Dayanand Vihar, where they completed their 12th grade. Their coursework during this time included Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and English.

In addition to their formal education, Avik Bose has obtained several certifications. These certifications include CompTIA Cloud Essentials from CompTIA in April 2018, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2020, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2020, F5 Certified Administrator, BIG-IP from F5 Networks in August 2015, F5 Certified Technology Specialist, BIG-IP Application Security Manager (F5-CTS, BIG-IP ASM) from F5 Networks in October 2017, F5 Certified Technology Specialist, BIG-IP DNS (F5-CTS, BIG-IP DNS) from F5 Networks in December 2016, F5 Certified Technology Specialist, BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (F5-CTS, BIG-IP LTM) from F5 Networks in May 2016, and Certified Ethical Hacker v9.0 from EC-Council. The month and year of obtaining the Certified Ethical Hacker v9.0 certification are not provided.
