Zacharia Shivers

Zacharia Shivers has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. zacharia started their career as a Full-time Student at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology from May 2006 to September 2011. After that, they worked as an Information Services Intern at Navico Logistics Europe B.V. from September 2010 to December 2010, where they performed various help desk duties and server administration tasks.

Following their internship, Zacharia joined Group 1 Automotive as an IT Specialist from August 2011 to September 2012. zacharia then worked at Midlands Management Corporation as a Network Technician from September 2012 to July 2013. In 2013, they ventured into self-employment and became an IT Consultant, providing their expertise to clients.

The following year, they joined the State of Oklahoma as a Network Engineer, staging, provisioning, and deploying networking equipment. zacharia supported more than 1000 network nodes, including switches, firewalls, and routers. Zacharia worked in this role until August 2015.

From October 2015 to April 2019, Zacharia worked at ATN International as a Senior Network Engineer. In this role, they led network design and maintenance, improving infrastructure performance and reliability while ensuring excellent service and customer experience for mobile voice and data networks.

Zacharia Shivers attended Oklahoma State University from 2006 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Assurance and Forensics. In addition to their degree, they obtained three certifications from Juniper Networks. zacharia became a Juniper Networks Certified Professional in Service Provider Routing & Switching (JNCIP-SP) in August 2019, a Juniper Networks Certified Specialist in Service Provider Routing & Switching (JNCIS-SP) in August 2019, and a Juniper Networks Certified Associate in Junos (JNCIA-Junos) in January 2018.
