Prior to these roles, Melissa led the US Institutional Legal Team at BlackRock, managing legal support for the firm's outsourced chief investment officer business and various institutional tech initiatives. Additional experience includes serving as Wealth Tech Counsel and leading the Financial Markets Advisory legal team at BlackRock. Previously, Melissa held the position of Assistant General Counsel at Halcyon Asset Management and worked as a corporate associate at Latham & Watkins, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and private equity. Melissa began a career in education as an English teacher in China through the Princeton in Asia fellowship. Melissa earned a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Princeton University.
