Job Title: Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

Verterim is seeking a dynamic Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer with demonstrable knowledge and experience working with complex environments to help design and buildout automation platforms utilizing infrastructure as code to provision, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure.

You will be responsible for performing reactive support and proactive maintenance as well as ensure standardization of systems, identification of opportunities to automate solutions, build solutions, and optimize operations to reduce implementation and upgrade cycle times. 

  

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, deploy and maintain cloud computing environments
  • Administration of Windows Server environments (Windows 2019+)
  • Deploy and maintain cloud-based networking technologies
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities for existing cloud computing environments
  • Propose, plan, and execute projects with minimal oversight, following operational processes
  • Communicate with clients on the phone, via email and through ticketing systems
  • Develop documentation as required, per operational processes
  • Follow the engagement model as determined by the engagement manager for projects, as needed
  • Input time and expenses into Verterim’s timekeeping system on a weekly basis
  • Provide after-hours and on-call support for reported outages on a rotational basis
  • Experience performing root cause analysis in complex systems and environments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Desired: Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer
  • Desired: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect
  • Hands on practice with:Azure Cloud/ Azure Active Directory
  • Experience handlingActive Directory Administration/ IIS/ SQL Server Management/ SQL Clustering
  • Strong understanding withInformation Security or Cyber Security
  • Ability to design, build and operationalize Azureenvironments following best practices covering Azure networking & security
  • Strong understanding of NetworkProtocols/ Network Troubleshooting including the following: HTTP, HTTPS, REST, SOAP
  • Experience with the implementation of Terraformand automation of provisioning infrastructure; Experience with Azure resource management using ARM templates, Terraform templates and Azure APIs
  • Experience withCI/CD process and managing code and dependencies in Azure DevOps pipelines, GIT/repo along with other Configuration management best practices
  • At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps(Source control, Work Items, Build and Release Management) oriented team utilizing the AGILE with SCRUM methodology
  • Strong scripting ability and experience with Visual Studio, PowerShell, and Windows OS365/Azure interfaces, logic and function apps, API management, Key Vault, API Connection, Azure Integration Services
  • Knowledge of C#, JavaScript, HTML, Json, XML, CSS, Angular, a plus
