Kit Werley

Kit Werley is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since July 2020, focusing on the development of custom instrumentation and the implementation of imaging technology. Prior to this role, Kit held several positions at Q-State Biosciences from February 2015 to June 2020, including Sr. Director of Engineering and Director of Engineering Research, where engagement centered on instrumentation and assay development for phenotypic screening in neurons. Kit's earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University, research at MIT during graduate studies focused on ultrafast spectroscopy, and undergraduate research at Stanford University. Kit began the research career at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where participation in experiments on the Trident laser facility occurred. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Chemistry from Stanford University.
