Ryan Howard

Ryan Howard is a Senior Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, specializing in high throughput screening platforms within the Integrative Biology department since May 2022. Previously, Ryan served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, focusing on foldamer chemical biology, and completed a PhD at Imperial College London, where research centered on photoaffinity labeling for PARP inhibitors. Ryan has also held roles as a Subwarden at Imperial College, a Private Tutor, and a Graduate Research Scientist at ATDBio, alongside early experiences as a Sustainability Consultant Intern and a Customer Service Advisor. Ryan's academic credentials include a Ph.D. and MRes from Imperial College London, an M.Sci. from the University of Cambridge, and a summer course at The Australian National University. Additionally, Ryan co-chairs the Oxford Pride Employee Resource Network at Vertex, advocating for LGBTQ+ inclusion and equity in the workplace.
