James Falconer

James Falconer has a strong background in business development and sales. James is currently working at Vertice as the Business Development Lead, responsible for developing new business opportunities. Prior to this, they were a member of Sales Development Leaders (SDL) where they honed their skills in sales development.

From 2021 to 2023, James worked at Brightcove, first as a Manager of Sales Development and then as the Senior Manager of International Business Development. In these roles, they led teams and implemented various strategies to drive pipeline and expand the company globally.

Before joining Brightcove, James was a Business Development Manager at Unit4, where they successfully designed and implemented cross-sales strategies. James also gained experience as a Sales Associate at Intuo, a company acquired by Unit4.

Earlier in their career, James held positions at Seenit Ltd. as a Senior Business Development Representative and Business Development Representative, where they managed outbound strategies and trained the business development team. James also worked at uWork Limited as the Head of Marketing.

James started their career as an intern at McCANN Enterprise, where they focused on copywriting and strategy planning, and at Remarkable Group, where they supported account management teams in marketing and PR campaigns.

Additionally, James gained experience as an intern and brand ambassador at PlayerLayer, and as an intern at The Tab.

James Falconer graduated from the University of Exeter in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in English and American Literature. Prior to that, they attended Peter Symonds College from 2012 to 2014, where they studied English Literature (British and Commonwealth). In terms of additional certifications, James obtained a Level 2 Rugby Coaching - Developing Rugby Skills certification from the Rugby Football Union in 2013 and an NPLQ certification from the Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK.
