Controls Research Engineer at Verus Research

Steven Cutlip has a diverse work experience spanning various research and engineering roles. Steven is currently working as a Controls Research Engineer at Verus® Research since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan from January 2017 to August 2021. Steven also held the position of Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in June and July 2018. Before their time at the University of Michigan, Steven worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in Electrical Engineering at The University of New Mexico from July 2014 to June 2016. Steven was also an AFRL Scholar at AFRL Scholars Program in May and July 2015. Furthermore, Steven gained experience as a Technical Intern in the TITANS Program at Sandia National Laboratories from 2011 to 2014.

Steven Cutlip completed their education in a chronological order. Steven first attended The University of New Mexico from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering at the same institution from 2014 to 2016. Lastly, they furthered their education by attending the University of Michigan from 2016 to 2021, where they successfully obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Engineering.
