Richard Melito has a solid background in software engineering, with experience in leading and managing teams. Richard is currently working as a Software Engineering Team Lead at Verve Industrial, where they manage a team of 4 software engineers and works on improving the Verve Security Center software suite. Richard started their career as a Design Engineer at Virginia Tech Perfusion Measurement Team, where they provided design expertise and developed programs for infrared camera operations. Richard also served as an Intern at Geosyntec Consultants, where they conducted research and utilized Pix4D to create 3D models of sites using drone-obtained 2D pictures. Richard also worked as an Independent Study student at the Hybrid Electric Vehicle Team at Virginia Tech.
Richard Melito earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Richard also obtained additional certifications, including a Certificate of Completion of a Blazor course from Udemy in 2021, and completed a Learn JavaScript Course from Codecademy in 2020.
