Lead Power System Engineer at Vestas

Miguel Campos has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry. Miguel started their career as a Photovoltaic System Engineer at Elergone Energias in 2018, where they focused on planning and sizing Photovoltaic Power Plants. Miguel then joined INESC Technology and Science - Associate Laboratory in 2019 as a Power System Dynamics | Micro Grids specialist, where they conducted Multi-Microgrid Dynamic Stability Testing. Miguel later joined Vestas in 2019 as a Model Engineer, developing electrical simulation models of wind turbines and power plant controllers. Miguel also worked as a Lead Power System Engineer at Vestas, ensuring wind power plant grid interconnection compliance in the USA and Canada. In this role, they were responsible for tasks such as grid code support, technical sales support, and construction support. Miguel has experience using simulation software such as PSSE, PSCAD, TSAT, Matlab Simulink, and OPAL-RT (RTDS).

Miguel Campos completed their education history with a Master's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Miguel attended this school from 2014 to 2019. In addition, they pursued a Master's Degree in Renewable Energy at the University of Hull from 2018 to 2019. Prior to their higher education, Miguel acquired a High School Diploma in Science & Technology from Colégio de Nossa Senhora do Rosário, which they completed from 2002 to 2014.
