Donato Clay

Donato Clay has experience in various roles and industries. Donato started their career as an Associate Attorney at East/West Law Group in 2012. Donato then worked as an Operations Manager at Nurses Night & Day from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, they transitioned to the legal field, serving as In-House Counsel at Parkinson Construction Co. Inc and as Manager of Strategic Integration at Cedars-Sinai until 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Regional Operations Director at DaVita Kidney Care. Donato then became the Director of Divisional Operations for the Pacific Northwest at Ethos Veterinary Health from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they are the Chief Operating Officer at Veteran Benefits Guide, starting in 2023. Alongside their civilian career, Donato also served in the Army National Guard as a Senior Trial Defense Attorney from 2011 to 2022 and in the US Army as a Lead Human Rights and Rule of Law Attorney/Military Adviser from 2017 to 2018, where they collaborated with various stakeholders to develop strategies for counter corruption efforts.

Donato Clay's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from Whittier College. Donato also obtained an Arabic Language Intensive Program Certificate from The American University in Cairo. Donato further pursued a Juris Doctorate degree in Law from Southwestern Law School. Donato later completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Additionally, Donato holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Yale School of Management.

In terms of certifications, Donato is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management from the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), which they obtained in July 2016. Donato also holds the status of a Bar Certified Attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, achieved in 2015, and is a member of the State Bar of California since 2011.
