Emil Tarazi

Emil Tarazi has a diverse work experience, starting in 2004 as a Software Engineer at Factset. Emil then worked as a Trader and later as a Director at UBS Equities, where they developed quantitative trading strategies and conducted research on high-frequency and algo trading strategies. In 2014, Emil joined HSBC Global Banking and Markets as an ETF Trader. Emil later worked as an Equity Trader at Cantor Fitzgerald in 2015. In 2017, Emil founded UpStage IQ and became the Chief Executive Officer of LOGICLY (previously ETFLogic). Currently, they are the Head of Product at VettaFi since 2023.

Emil Tarazi began their education journey in 1995 at International College, where they completed their high school education in 2000. Following this, they enrolled at the American University of Beirut in 2000 for a brief period to study Computer Engineering. In 2001, Tarazi joined Carnegie Mellon University and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, which they successfully completed in 2004. Building upon their undergraduate studies, they continued at Carnegie Mellon University and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Engineering in 2005.
