Bruce Hydes

Bruce Hydes is an accomplished recruitment and talent acquisition professional with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as the Global Head of Talent at VeUP since January 2024, Bruce leads initiatives to support startup growth through a dedicated team of industry experts. Prior to this role, Bruce held the position of Talent Acquisition Manager at IGS Limited, where a significant technology and commercial scale-up was underway in the agritech sector. As the Founding Director of ESS Recruit, Bruce focused on providing ethical and straightforward recruitment services. Bruce also contributed to the success of Eden Scott Ltd as a Director, specializing in manufacturing technology and renewable energy recruitment, and began the career as a Senior Consultant at Melville Craig in the global semiconductor and high technology sectors. Bruce holds a BA in Business Studies with a focus on Marketing and HR from the University of Strathclyde.
