Ian Vining has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Ian began their career in 2011 as a Utilities Equipment Repairer in the U.S. Army, where they diagnosed and repaired military HVAC systems and operated SAMS-1E administration software. Additionally, they cross-trained to work on wheeled diesel vehicles and diesel generators. After leaving the Army in 2014, Ian co-owned and served as CEO of Blackwolf Services, LLC starting in October 2017. Currently, they are working as a Permit Coordinator at Vexus Fiber since April 2022.
Ian Vining began their education journey in 2008 at Everest Institute, where they obtained a diploma in HVAC/Residential studies. In 2012, they attended the U.S. Army Ordnance School and obtained the certifications of DoD EPA 608 Universal and DoD EPA 609 in March of that year.
Ian then pursued further education at NexGenT in 2019, where they completed a course in Full Stack Network Engineering, specializing in computer systems networking and telecommunications.
Continuing their academic pursuits, they enrolled in Texas Tech University - Edward E. Whitacre, Jr. College of Engineering in 2015. Over the course of ten years until 2025, Ian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in logistics, materials, and supply chain management from the Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business.
