Samuel Gilkeson

Samuel Gilkeson has extensive experience in human resources and legal compliance within the healthcare sector. Most recently, at VHC Health, Samuel served as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer from March 2020 to January 2023, prior to which roles included Human Resources Director and Compliance Specialist. In these capacities, Samuel provided expertise on compliance with federal and state laws, including Medicare regulations and the Stark Law, while also reviewing physician compensation arrangements for compliance with federal fraud laws. Earlier experiences include serving as an Associate at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP from May 2016 to August 2019, where the focus was on mergers and acquisitions alongside regulatory compliance. Additionally, Samuel gained valuable experience as a Law Clerk at Pepperdine University’s Office of the General Counsel. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from West Virginia University.
