Shawn Beeson

Shawn Beeson has an extensive work experience spanning over several years in various roles. Shawn is currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at the Via Licensing Alliance. Prior to this, they worked as the Owner at CADvantage Integrated Business Systems. Shawn also held the position of Director of Software Engineering at MPEG LA, LLC before joining Via Licensing Alliance. Additionally, they served as an Advisor - Technology Review Board at Accruit | Financial Technology Services and held leadership roles such as VP of Engineering and Director of Engineering at FRONTSTEPS. Shawn Beeson has also worked as the Vice President of Engineering, Engineering Manager & Technical Product Owner at Granicus, Inc. Shawn started their career as a Solutions Engineer at Sitrion and worked as a Principal Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Director of Development & Technology at various companies.

Shawn Beeson attended the Colorado School of Mines from 1993 to 1999, where they studied Engineering (Mechanical). Shawn did not obtain a degree from this institution. In terms of certifications, Shawn earned various certifications from Microsoft and the Scrum Alliance. In 2008, they obtained the MCPD: Web Developer certification from Microsoft, followed by the MCTS: .Net Framework 2.0, Web Applications certification in 2008. In 2009, they became a Certified Scrum Master through the Scrum Alliance and also achieved the MCTS: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Configuration certification from Microsoft. That same year, they obtained the MCTS: Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, Configuration certification from Microsoft. In 2010, Shawn received the MCPD: SharePoint Developer 2010 certification and the MCTS: SharePoint 2010, Application Development certification, both from Microsoft. Lastly, in 2012, they obtained the MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft.
