Tom Chia

Tom Chia is currently the Vice President at Via Licensing Alliance, handling strategy and business development responsibilities. Prior to this role, Tom served as a Director at Ovidian Group, LLC, focusing on patent licensing and strategic patent acquisitions. Tom has a background in law, having worked as a Law Clerk at Baker Botts LLP. Additionally, Tom has experience as a Post-doctoral Researcher at Yale University, where Tom focused on biomedical engineering research. With a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Yale University, Tom is well-versed in patent prosecution, technology transfer, and licensing agreements.
