Mathieu Bouvier

Mathieu Bouvier is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in controls software development and vehicle engineering. Currently serving as the Manager of Model-Based Controls Software Development at Ballard Power Systems since September 2023, Mathieu has also been a Principal Vehicle Controls Engineer at VIA Motors since 2015, actively involved in software feature implementation and testing for hybrid-electric and battery-electric vehicles. Previous roles include leading a team of Controls Applications Engineers at Westport, where Mathieu contributed to multiple projects, developed a Model-Based Design environment, and created documentation for Automotive SPICE compliance. Additional experience includes co-founding a skiing manufacturing company, working as a Controls Applications Engineer at Azure Dynamics, and serving as a Research Engineer at UBC. Mathieu holds a Master's degree in Controls Engineering from The University of British Columbia and a Master's degree in General Engineering from ENSTA ParisTech.
