Kurt Schoppe has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Kurt began their career at Morbark, Inc in 1996, where they worked in sales for 15 years. In 2011, they joined SA Recycling as an Area General Manager and stayed with the company until 2023. During their time at SA Recycling, they also served as the General Manager for SA Recycling Organics, a regional composting and organics recycling facility. In 2023, they moved on to become the Director of Operations - Western US at Komptech Americas.

Kurt Schoppe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Finance from the College of Business at California State University-Long Beach, where they studied from 1987 to 1989.
