Sanjay Jain

Sanjay Jain is an accomplished tax professional with extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry. Currently serving as Vice President and Head of Direct Tax at Viacom18 Media Private Limited since September 2022, Sanjay previously held the position of Tax Director - India at Netflix from December 2018 to June 2022, where responsibilities included advising on production tax matters and tax compliance. With a significant tenure at Star India from September 2008 to November 2018, Sanjay advanced from Vice President - Tax to various roles that encompassed transaction analysis, tax mitigation strategies, and litigation management across multiple jurisdictions. Additional experience includes managerial roles in taxation at Atos Origin Pvt. Ltd. and N A Shah Associates, alongside a foundational career at Dayal and Lohia. Sanjay holds a Chartered Accountant designation from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, as well as a B.Com from Sathaye College and an LLB from Jitendra Chauhan College of Law.
