Patrick Cheng

Patrick Cheng has a diverse work experience that spans various roles in human resources and research. Their most recent position was as the Director of People at Vial, where they started in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior People Business Partner at Vial from June 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining Vial, Patrick worked as a Human Resources Business Partner at Berkeley Lab from April 2020 to June 2022. Patrick also gained experience as a Senior Human Resources Analyst at the San Francisco Department of Public Health from October 2018 to March 2020.

Continuing their education at San Francisco State University, they completed a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from 2012 to 2014.

Additionally, Patrick Cheng obtained various certifications. In November 2019, they completed the Interaction Design Specialization from Coursera. In April 2020, they obtained the certification for HR as a Business Partner from LinkedIn. In September 2020, they became a Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) certified by HRCI. Patrick further obtained certifications in Negotiation Foundations and Change Leadership from LinkedIn in August and September 2021, respectively.
