Jim Loughran

SVP, Convergent Video Solutions at Viamedia

James (Jim) Loughran worked at NCC Media (now Ampersand) from 2011 – 2019 as Senior Vice President, Digital Sales. In this role, Jim worked closely with NCC owners and affiliates to set digital sales strategies and drive revenue in this critical line of business for the industry, eventually building a 9 figure revenue department. In October 2014, Jim added Business Development to his responsibilities. Over time Jim signed representation agreements with a variety of OTT and Connected TV companies to augment NCC Digital Media’s portfolio. Jim’s experience in the online market – where nearly every piece of business is developmental, and customized proposals for each and every account is typical – served NCC well in this very competitive media environment. In 2018 Loughran completed the Cable Executive Certification Program at Harvard Business School.

Loughran has 22 years of experience in the business and began his career in interactive sales at Ziff-Davis in 1998 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. He joined CNET Networks in 2000 and moved up through the ranks, ultimately becoming Vice President of Sales in 2006. While at CNET, Loughran ran a sales team responsible for over $50 million in revenue from America’s leading digital advertisers. Loughran moved to CBS Interactive in 2008 as Vice President of Sales and oversaw a $120 million sales effort against a portfolio of websites including CNET, CBS News, ZDNet, TechRepublic, and Moneywatch. For the past year Jim has consulted with a variety of programmatic, digital out of home and OTT video companies and agencies.
