Georg Ockenfuss

Georg Ockenfuss possesses extensive experience in the field of research and development, currently serving as Director of R&D and Product Development at VIAVI Solutions since January 1998, having previously held roles as an Engineer and Director of Worldwide Field Application Engineering. Prior to this, Georg worked at Forschungszentrum Juelich from 1992 to 1997 as a Diplom Physiker. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics and Material Science focusing on Thin-Film High-Temperature Superconductors from Justus Liebig University Giessen and a Diplom in Physics from the Technical University of Munich. Georg completed high school at Schiller Gymnasium, where the focus was on Physics and Mathematics.
