Bruce Young

Strategic Advisory Board Member and Founder's Group Investor at VIC Technology Venture Development™

Bruce Young has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Bruce is currently working as an Investor and Business Developer at Eton Bay Investments, where they have been since 2012. In this role, they utilize their extensive experience as an equities investor to trade in options, commodities, and foreign exchange markets. Bruce also invests in and helps develop small businesses specializing in chemical, medical, and energy technologies.

Bruce is also a Strategic Advisory Board Member and Founder's Group Investor at VIC Technology Venture Development™ since January 2021. Additionally, they serve as an Investor at FullStack PEO since April 2020.

Prior to their current roles, Bruce worked as a Validation Consultant at Roche NimbleGen Inc. from 2010 to 2011. Bruce also had a significant tenure at Roche Diagnostics, where they held various managerial positions. These include being the Manager of Global Customer Support from 2006 to 2010 and the Manager of the Drugs of Abuse Testing Group from 2005 to 2006. In these roles, Bruce successfully merged existing departments and oversaw global systems support and U.S. investigational unit.

Bruce's earlier career includes positions at IUPUI Department of Chemistry, where they were an Adjunct Professor and Financial Officer from 2001 to 2005. Bruce also served as an Adjunct Lecturer from 1996 to 2001. During their time at IUPUI, Bruce taught undergraduate and graduate-level chemistry courses and conducted research in semiconductor quantum dots and biocompatible optical sensors. Bruce was also a Corporate Training Developer as a self-employed individual from 1992 to 1995.

Bruce began their career as an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Saint Francis College from 1990 to 1991.

Bruce Young's education history begins with their attendance at Moravian University from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Bruce then pursued a higher level of education at the University of Kentucky from 1984 to 1989, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry. Following this, Young continued their academic journey as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Pennsylvania State University Department of Chemistry from 1989 to 1991, focusing on Organometallic Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
