Katriona Shortal is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public affairs and media relations across various sectors. Currently serving as the Public Affairs Manager at the Department of Government Services since June 2023, Katriona has previously held prominent positions, including Manager and Senior Adviser of COVID-19 Communications at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Vic) from April 2020 to August 2023. Additional roles include Senior Media Adviser at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, Media and Communications Manager at Film Victoria, and Senior Media and Communications Officer at the Mental Health Complaints Commissioner. Katriona has also contributed as a Senior Media and Communications Officer for the City of Boroondara and Public Relations Manager for Make-A-Wish Australia.
