Sarah Bazydola

Associate Director - Hardware Engineering at Vicarious Surgical

Sarah Bazydola has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sarah has held various managerial and leadership roles in a range of companies in the engineering and technology industry.

Starting their career at Color Kinetics in 2000, Sarah gained experience in designing light fixtures and sheet metal enclosures. Sarah then joined Life Technologies as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they were responsible for designing high voltage components and assemblies for a mass spectrometer.

Sarah's career progressed as they took on roles with increasing responsibilities. At Sun Microsystems, they served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, specializing in thermal engineering for blade servers. Sarah performed thermal and airflow testing and sized heat sinks for high-powered components.

Their next role was at Philips/Colorkinetics, where they led a team of engineers and industrial designers in developing an outdoor luminaire called eW Burst Powercore. Sarah then moved on to OSRAM SYLVANIA as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, leading the advanced development group and designing luminaire concepts for the Department of Energy.

Sarah's expertise in engineering management led their to Keurig Dr Pepper Inc., where they managed the Kold portion pack development team. Sarah set team direction, wrote performance goals, and monitored schedules.

At Drinkworks, Sarah assumed the position of Director of Engineering and Knowledge Management. Sarah set priorities for plastics engineering, documentation control, and engineering lab technicians. Sarah also developed a corporate IP strategy that could potentially result in significant cost savings.

In their most recent position at Farmshelf, Sarah served as the Head of Engineering. Sarah led the engineering team in developing and manufacturing the Farmshelf Home, an indoor hydroponic farm for consumer use. Sarah introduced the Agile scrum process for project identification and prioritization.

Currently, Sarah is working at Vicarious Surgical Inc. as the Associate Director of Hardware Engineering. While specific details are not provided, it can be inferred that they are involved in managing the hardware engineering team.
