Christian Usher

Christian Usher has a wealth of experience in mechanical engineering and design. From 2019 to present, they have been working at ViCentra as a Mechanical Engineering Manager, Senior Design Engineer, and Design Engineer. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Flex as a Design Engineer, where they were responsible for the industrialisation of concepts through to mass production manufacture. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Zumtobel Group as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Design Engineer, where they were responsible for transforming concept luminaire designs to mass production manufacture. In 2013, they were the CTO of The Stable Cable Co, designing, modelling and manufacturing Lightning cable protectors for Apple products. Finally, in 2012, they had a one year placement at KASAI UK LTD as a Student Design Engineer, where they worked on various injection moulded parts of interior trim for current and future Nissan projects.

Christian Usher's education history includes a Postgraduate degree in Leadership and Management from Northumbria University (2014-2015), a Bachelor of Science in Product Design Engineering from Northumbria University (2010-2014), and studies at St. Robert of Newminster Sixth Form College (2008-2010) and St. Aidans RC Secondary School & Sixth Form (2002-2008).
