Kevin Xu

Kevin Xu has a strong background in data engineering and data analysis. Kevin is currently working as a Lead Data Engineer at Vicinity Centres. Before that, they held a position as a Data Engineer / Data Scientist at Latitude Financial Services, where they worked on a Cloud Data Warehouse / Data Lake Project using various AWS tools and technologies. Prior to that, they worked as a DW & BI Solutions Architect at Telstra, where they focused on creating a customer usage model using MS technology stack and Teradata. Kevin also has experience as a BI & DW Developer at RMIT University, a DW Developer at NPS MedicineWise, and a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Consultant at Altis Consulting. Kevin's earlier roles included working as a Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence Analyst at EB Services and SP AusNet, where they were responsible for designing and developing ETL jobs, creating data models, and optimizing database performance.

Kevin Xu obtained a Master's degree in Data Science and Statistics from the University of Melbourne from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Monash University between 2003 and 2005, with a focus on Software Engineering, Programming, Business Systems, and Math. Additionally, Kevin obtained certifications in SQL Server 2008, Business Intelligence Development, and Maintenance from Microsoft.
