Carlie Ede began their work experience in 2011 at the Five Dock Leisure Centre as a Gymnastics Coach, a role they held until 2017. In 2017, they also worked as a Research Assistant at Loughborough University from July to September. Carlie then became a Gymnastics Coach at Upstarts Gymnastics from April 2017 to April 2019. In 2020, Carlie worked as a Research Associate at Loughborough University from February to November. In 2021, Carlie took on the role of Biomechanist (Voluntary) at UK Athletics from June to October. They then transitioned to Vicon, where they worked as a Customer Support Engineer from October 2021 to November 2022, and currently holds the position of Application Engineer.
Carlie Ede completed their Bachelor's degree in Sport and Exercise Science (Gymnastics) from Loughborough University in 2017. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Sports Biomechanics from the same institution and successfully obtained it in 2018. Carlie then continued their education at Loughborough University, where they are currently working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Sports Biomechanics with a focus on Musculoskeletal Modelling.
