John T.

John T. has extensive work experience in the field of technology and IT audit. John is currently the Director of Technology Governance at Victory Capital, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this, John served as the Director of IT Audit at UT Health San Antonio from August 2020 to January 2022.

Before joining UT Health San Antonio, John was the IT Audit Manager at Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. from October 2016 to August 2020. In this role, they were responsible for strategic planning of IT Advisory engagements, ensuring regulatory compliance, assessing security design and configuration, and optimizing the IT function.

John also worked as a Senior Manager at Bennoch and Walker LLC, CPA's from February 2016 to October 2016. Prior to that, they held the position of Manager in the Advisory Services department at KPMG US from July 2013 to January 2016.

Earlier in their career, John gained experience at Deloitte as a Senior Consultant in Audit and Enterprise Risk Services from November 2010 to July 2013, at BDO USA, LLP as a Manager in Risk Advisory Services from September 2006 to October 2010, at EY as a Manager in Technology and Security Risk Services from October 2004 to August 2006, and at PwC as a Senior Associate in Advisory Services Security and Controls Practice from July 2003 to October 2004.

John started their professional journey at PwC as a Technical Services Consultant from June 1997 to April 2003. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in technology governance, IT audit, and advisory services.

John T. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Data Analytics at St. Mary's University, which is expected to be completed between 2021 and 2023. Additionally, John holds certifications in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
