Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer, currently working at SMART Technologies since July 2010, where responsibilities include developing hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational devices as part of a cross-functional team. Previous experience includes roles as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, where electronics design and repair for educational devices were the focus, and as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting electronic circuits labs. Earlier professional experience includes work as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, developing control systems for the forestry industry. Chris Nicol holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
