Tamara Joy

Tamara Joy has extensive experience in the field of People and Culture. Tamara is currently serving as the Head of People and Culture at Village Roadshow since June 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at William Adams Pty Ltd from August 2021 to June 2023. Tamara also worked as the General Manager People and Culture at Motorsport Australia from October 2013 to August 2021. Before that, they worked as the HR & OD Manager at Housing Choices Australia from June 2009 to October 2013. Tamara also has experience in the field of Human Resources, having worked as a General Manager Human Resources at Melbourne Racing Club from April 2007 to March 2009, and as a Senior HR Advisor from October 2004 to March 2007. Earlier in their career, they worked as an HR Officer at David Jones from August 2002 to September 2004. Tamara's career started in 1995 at Melbourne Fitness Club, where they held various roles including Membership Manager, Administration Manager, and Personal Trainer until 2001.

Tamara Joy completed their Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from Charles Sturt University from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management from Swinburne University of Technology in 2003-2004. In 1998-1999, they attended Victorian Business College and received an Advanced Diploma in Marketing. Additionally, Tamara has obtained several certifications, including Foundations of Directorship and Foundations of Directorship - Strategy and Risk from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2021 and 2019 respectively. Tamara has also completed programs such as Women Leaders In Sport from Sport Australia in 2019, Managing and Leading Change from Melbourne Business School in 2019, and Organisational Coaching Level 1 from the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership (IECL) in 2019.
