Vidar Grasdal

Vidar Grasdal has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Vidar has worked in various roles at different companies, starting with their self-employment as a web and software developer. During this time, they developed and launched the "Viddi Player," an internet radio player with over 1250 radio channels. Vidar also provided IT training and implemented custom Content Management Systems for businesses and schools.

Vidar then joined TV 2 as a Technical Lead, where they developed a classifieds platform generating annual revenue of around NOK 40 million. Vidar also led the development of the "TV 2 Mobile" site and services, resulting in a significant increase in users and traffic. Additionally, they were the lead developer for "TV 2 Play," a video center that delivered public and free video archives.

After TV 2, Vidar joined Vimond Media Solutions in various roles. As a Senior Software Engineer, they worked closely with clients to architect and develop scalable video cloud services. Vidar served as an on-site system expert and mentor, coordinating between the client and their company. Later, they became the Head of Support Operations, responsible for building and leading a world-class support organization. Vidar then became the VP Engineering for North America, overseeing projects and deliveries for clients like Comcast, Reuters, and Disney. Currently, they serve as the Chief Architect, leading the technical vision and strategy for Vimond, including initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Vidar Grasdal's education history includes various degrees and certifications. Vidar obtained a Core: Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online in 2015. Prior to that, they completed studies in HTML5 / Application development for mobile devices at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2011. Vidar also earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences in 2009. In addition to these formal education experiences, Vidar has completed several certifications, such as Front-End Developer Capstone, Meta Front-End Developer, Principles of UX/UI Design, Advanced React, React Native, What is the Metaverse?, Database Structures and Management with MySQL, Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design, HTML and CSS in depth, Programming in Python, and Programming with JavaScript. Vidar also holds several certifications in cloud analytics from Cloud Analytics Academy and Amazon Web Services (AWS), as well as certifications in Elasticsearch and NodeJS from Udemy. Vidar completed a course in innovation and information technology management from IIMBx through edX in 2016.
