Joni Mettälä

Joni Mettälä has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and digital development. Joni started their career in 2015 as a Social Media Ambassador at the University of Oulu. In 2018, they worked as a Marketing Trainee at Koti Puhtaaksi Oy, where they focused on marketing automation, website improvement, and SEO. In 2019, Joni served as a Communications Intern at Tampere University of Applied Sciences, contributing to projects and community development. Simultaneously, they were a Student Activator at Y-kampus, organizing events and activities for university students. From 2020 to 2022, Joni worked as an Integration Developer at Digia Plc, specializing in API development using Java and Apache Camel. In addition, they dedicated time to developing internal knowledge-sharing tribes. Currently, Joni is working as a Software Developer at Vincit, a company focused on digital transformation and customer experience excellence.

Joni Mettälä completed their education at multiple institutions. Joni began their educational journey in 2009 at Kangasala Upper Secondary School, where they obtained their high school diploma in 2013. Following this, they attended the University of Oulu from 2013 to 2015, where they pursued studies in Computer Science and Engineering, although they did not complete a degree at this institution.

Later, Joni enrolled at Tampere University of Applied Sciences in 2015 and completed their studies in 2021. Joni earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Business Information Systems.

In terms of certifications, Joni obtained the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in December 2022.
