Jouni Honkanen

Jouni Honkanen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jouni is currently working at Vincit as the Business Development Director for the Public Sector, where they are responsible for selling software projects to government agencies and overseeing digital transformation initiatives. Prior to this, Jouni worked at Suomen Erillisverkot -konserni (State Security Networks Group, Finland) where they held multiple roles. Jouni served as an Executive Manager for national situational awareness collaboration and also worked as a Product Manager, handling ICT sales and product development for versatile situational awareness and communications platforms. Additionally, they held the position of Account Manager, responsible for sales and project management of critical communications products and solutions to blue-light actors. Jouni's earlier experience includes working at Vuores Palvelu Oy as a Board Member and Managing Director, where they were involved in developing and constructing a fiber optic regional network. And finally, they worked at Pirkanmaan pelastuslaitos, first as a Professional Firefighter and later as a Project Manager, focusing on fire, accident, and emergency response as well as civil defense and preparedness.

Jouni Honkanen obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Construction Economics from Tampere University of Technology from 2008 to 2013. Before that, they attended Pelastusopisto - Emergency Services Academy Finland for a year, from 2007 to 2008, where they received professional firefighter training in Fire, Rescue & Ambulance Services, Fire prevention, and Civil Defence. In 2000 and 2001, Jouni Honkanen pursued a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Building Construction at Swansea Institute of Higher Education in the UK.
