Melanie MacQueen is an experienced educator and theatre professional with a career spanning over four decades. Currently serving as a Staged Reading teacher at Vintage Senior Living since January 2015, Melanie also contributes as a teacher at Theatre Phoenix, where storytelling and performance enrich the lives of elementary school children. As Program Director and playwright at Theatre 40, Melanie facilitates the KIDS ACTING OUT! program for students in grades three to eight, combining theatrical traditions with original plays. Melanie's extensive freelance experience includes directing various productions in the Los Angeles area and teaching theatre across multiple organizations, such as Olive Plaza and A NOISE WITHIN. With a background that includes a BA in Art, English, Theatre, and Anthropology from Arizona State University, as well as a Teaching Diploma from the North American Montessori Center, Melanie MacQueen continues to inspire and guide students of all ages in the performing arts.
