Manager, User Insights And Special Projects at Vira Health

Ria V. has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2013 as a Research Assistant and Trainee at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences. In 2014, they co-founded and directed No Country for Women, a registered non-profit organization that combats gender-based discrimination and violence in India. In 2015, they became a Fellow at the Social Innovation Initiative. In 2013, they began working as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Brown University, with research on working memory and the costs of cognitive effort and control, as well as a dynamical approach to study gait stability and motor coordination. In 2016, they were a User Research Intern at the Center for Prisoner Health and Human Rights. In 2017, they were a Research Assistant at Chatham House's Centre on Global Health Security. In 2018, they became a Project Manager at Ada Health, managing projects with budgets of up to US$8 million to develop and launch Ada's AI-powered symptom assessment technology in LMIC settings. Finally, in 2020, they became a Senior Researcher at AMBOSS, and in 2023, they became a Senior User Researcher at Vira Health.

Ria V. is currently pursuing a Master of Science in International Health Management from Imperial College Business School. Ria also holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Brown University. Additionally, they are in the process of obtaining a Master of Science in Global Mental Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London. In 2018, Ria V. completed a Post-graduate Certification in Data Analytics from Ubiqum Code Academy. Finally, they hold an IB Diploma from Indus International School, Bangalore.
