Colin Anson

Colin Anson is a Senior Researcher at Virent, Inc. since January 2020, where leadership in research projects spans feedstock pretreatment, catalytic process development, catalyst regeneration, and product treatment aimed at enhancing commercial relevance. Prior to this role, Colin served as an Advanced Researcher and Assistant Scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from August 2011 to January 2020, focusing on optimizing an oxidative "lignin-first" biomass fractionation process and mentoring graduate students. Colin's research background includes a postdoctoral position in the Stahl lab, contributing to novel fuel cell technology, and graduate studies in organic chemistry, particularly in electrocatalytic processes.
