Jamie McLemore

Jamie McLemore is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in teaching and instructional coaching. Currently serving as a Math Specialist at Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Jamie oversees math instruction at Point O'View Elementary. Previously, Jamie taught 5th grade at Thoroughgood Elementary, focusing on general education in a special education inclusion classroom. In addition to current roles, Jamie is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Virginia, teaching principles of curriculum design. Jamie's background includes serving as a Numeracy Coach and a 3rd/4th Grade Teacher at Metro Nashville Public Schools, where contributions included leading professional learning and participating in curriculum design. Jamie began the educational career at Horizons Hampton Roads, Inc. as a Teaching Assistant, supporting at-risk students. Jamie holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, alongside a Master's in Teacher Education and a Bachelor's in American Studies, all from the University of Virginia.
